When this card is activated: Fusion Summon 1 LIGHT Machine Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your Deck, including "Cyber Dragon", also for the rest of this turn after this effect resolves, you cannot Special Summon, except Machine monsters, and you cannot declare attacks, except with the Summoned monster. When this card leaves the field, destroy that monster. When that monster is destroyed, destroy this card. You can only activate 1 "Future Fusion Nova" per turn.
Future Fusion Nova — Power Evaluation
Final Score: 46 ± 8 · Confidence: Medium
- Intrinsic: 45 · Deck: 46 · Meta: provisional
- Primary role: Starter / Combo enabler · Secondary: Boss/End-board
Why it scores here
Future Fusion Nova turns one Spell into a Fusion Summon of a LIGHT Machine Fusion Monster from the Extra Deck, using monsters from the Deck, so its real value is converting Deck resources into a board. The restrictions cap that value: the Fusion pool is narrow, it cannot attack with anything but the summoned monster, and the Continuous Spell and its destruction chain are fragile. The 400-deck sample contains the card by construction, so its high deck count confirms accessibility and archetype fit, not strength. No combo boards were recorded, so the conversion score rests on card text alone.
Axis scores
| Axis | Score | Evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Accessibility | 50 | Three copies run in 306 of 400 decks and it is a Spell with no garnet cost, but no searcher or draw route appears in the evidence, so it depends on the hand (verified text, observed deck counts, inferred access). |
| Combo & Conversion | 55 | One card becomes a Fusion body from the Deck, which is a real board from a single activation, but no combo boards or power indices were supplied (verified text, inferred conversion). |
| Resource Economy | 55 | Fusion Summoning from the Deck gains board presence at no card cost, offset by the later destruction chain that removes both the Fusion monster and the Spell (verified text, inferred net value). |
| Effect & Interaction | 5 | The card has no negation, removal, or hand trap effect; its destruction clause only removes the card's own monster (verified text). |
| Material Utility | 5 | A Spell cannot be used as material and its effect does not add material value, so this axis is near zero (verified text). |
| Resilience & Flexibility | 30 | It is a Continuous Spell destroyed by leaving the field, and it is once per turn, so one answer to the Spell or its Fusion monster ends the line (verified text, inferred). |
| Deck-Building Efficiency | 70 | Three copies is the common count, the card has no garnet or lock restriction, and it fits Cyber Dragon and Cyberdark shells with 24 distinct archetypes in the deck sample (observed decks, verified text). |
Calculation
Weight profile: 0.7 Starter / Combo enabler + 0.3 Boss/End-board. Intrinsic ≈ 45, Deck ≈ 46, Meta = provisional. Modifiers: none. Final formula: 0.40*Intrinsic + 0.60*Deck
Strengths
- Converts Deck monsters into a Fusion Summon from a single Spell activation
- Clean three-copy inclusion with no garnet cost
- Connects to the Cyber Dragon engine through the partner list
Weaknesses
- Restricted to LIGHT Machine Fusion monsters
- No attacks except with the summoned monster that turn
- Once per turn and fragile to leave-field and destruction chains
- No combo evidence supplied to confirm the conversion
Counters / choke points
- Negation of the activation (inferred from text, no counter data supplied)
- Removal of the Continuous Spell before the chain resolves (inferred from text)
Best use
Starter. Decks: Cyber Dragon, Cyberdark. Suggested copies: 3.
Evidence & gaps
- Verified: Fusion Summons a LIGHT Machine Fusion Monster from the Extra Deck using Deck monsters; Restricts other Special Summons to Machines and attacks to the summoned monster for the rest of the turn; Destroys the summoned monster when this card leaves the field, and this card when that monster is destroyed; Once per turn, Continuous Spell, no garnet cost; Three copies in 306 of 400 sampled decks
- Observed: Cyber Dragon archetype appears in 43% of sampled decks and Cyberdark in 22%; Gameplay type 7 accounts for 92.2% of sampled decks; Top partners include Maxx C at 96.2% and Cyber Dragon at 95.8%
- Inferred: Starter role, since the card's effect is a Fusion Summon from a single activation; Board conversion is meaningful, but limited by the LIGHT Machine restriction and the attack lock; Fragility comes from the leave-field destruction chain
- Data gaps: No combos supplied, so combo conversion is text-only inference The 400-deck sample contains this card by construction (400 of 400 running main), so inclusion rates do not measure frequency No searcher or draw evidence to confirm accessibility No banlist token; assumed 3 copies (unlimited) usage_statistics covers only one archetype (Cyber Dragon, gameplay 4) Rulings and the full Fusion monster pool are not supplied
